


Park and Big Horn County Democrats were invited to attend a forum with three of the Democratic candidates running for office in this election cycle. Each candidate addressed the group, and took questions from them. Among the issues they addressed:
SCOTT MORROW:
Social security fairness
Women’s rights
Honoring unions and union members and supporting fair labor practices
Respecting areas of agreement with Senator Barrasso and Representative Hageman
Concern about the financial support we are providing for Israel’s bombing of Gaza
Article 1 section 38 of the Wyoming Constitution, which underscores the right for all competent adults to make their own healthcare decisions
LARRY ALWIN:
Women’s rights, both in terms of health care and beyond
Education—full funding and support, from Pre-K to Post-Secondary
Support for the travel and tourism industries that are a major source of revenue for Wyoming
Access to quality and effective health care, including for those who have difficulty paying, including Medicaid expansion
Property tax fairness—constitutional amendment to freeze property taxes for retirees and those on fixed incomes
Defending the right to marry regardless of sexual orientation
Open primaries and rank choice voting
KYLE CAMERON:
Reproductive rights, supported by 4th amendment freedom from unlawful searches
Healthcare: medicare expansion, and inclusion of dental health in health care plans
Workers rights–raising minimum wage to a livable wage, and supporting workers right to stand up for themselves with or without a union
Upgrades to transportation, including rail through northern Wyoming
Climate change is here. What can we do to go forward?
Housing shortages and alternative climate friendly building materials.
Water and sewer upgrades to increase safety for citizens
